FAQ

What’s the benefit of hand-drawn design?

Fully customized, hand-drawn logo designs with personalized lettering and brand symbols set brands apart.

At Long Live Simple, the designs we craft are truly unique, one-of-a-kind lettering and illustrations; these authentic, original marks are not easily replicated and they stand out.

Can I see examples of your work?

Yes, please do check out our past projects! You’ll find branding, graphic design, and web design projects over in the Portfolio section. We also regularly add current projects through @longlivesimple on Instagram, Dribbble, and Behance design portfolios.

How long does the branding process typically take?

That depends on the level of service you choose. We offer three types of branding packages: the Simple (3 – 4 weeks,) the Deluxe (5 – 6 weeks,) and the Complete Corporate (1+ months.)

Every project, regardless of length, is viewed through the lenses of strategy, customization, freshness, and best design practices. For a full view of what each package entails, visit our Services page.

Why does the Complete Corporate branding process take 1-2 months?

We allow this much time to fully understand your target markets,  products or services, and visual branding preferences. We craft fully customized, hand-drawn logo designs with personalized brand symbols. The logo designs are then paired with a selection of fonts. The logo process includes multiple “rounds” of revisions and ample, diverse design directions. All this allows the logo selection to be a collaborative effort between the client and design partner.

We start with a custom mood board, color palette options, business card design, logo/brand symbol, print materials and more, completing the process with a comprehensive brand guide.

Do you offer other design services in addition to logos and websites?

Yes! We also help brands create unique brand icons and various print products. For details, visit our Services page, or request a full pricing list by emailing us at hello@longlivesimple.com.

Where did the name “Long Live Simple” come from?

The naming of Long Live Simple came from the idea of keeping design elements as simple, long-lasting, and clean as possible. We believe minimal designs are best practice, and we adhere to high design standards. Our name is a nod to the principle that most logos can (and should!) be designed to stay fresh for 5 – 10+ years, rather than falling into the temporary “trap of the trend.”

What’s the first step in working together?

If you’d like to learn more, fill out our brief client questionnaire to help us identify what you’re looking for. We’ll reach out to setup a complimentary consultation – either in person or over the phone – to explore your desired branding and design timeline, project details, and more.

Where is your office located, and do you work with remote clients?

Our office is located in Oakley, a short 10 minutes from downtown Asheville, NC. It’s a spacious home office where we often meet locally-based clients. We also meet clients regularly around town, aiming to make our locations as convenient as possible for folks on the go.

We do work remotely with clients who don’t live or work in Asheville. In these cases everything is handled electronically, including screen-share meetings for ease of viewing and discussing designs and edits.

Who’s behind Long Live Simple?

We have a fun, creative team here at Long Live Simple. Creative Director and Founder Carley Lee works closely with Graphic Designer Anna Galloway, and collaborates with Developer Rob Lindsey for all website projects. Intern Christie Lee works with us on the social media and marketing side of the brand. Some of us are locally based in Asheville, while others work remotely.

What size budgets do you work with?

Our clients are established and emerging brands whose focus on cohesive branding translates into a design budget of $1,500 – $6,500+ for branding packages, and $2,000 – $6,000+ for website designs.

We’re proud to support local small businesses and give back to the Asheville community through our 10% “Go Local” discount for all Asheville-based businesses in association with Asheville Grown.
